Dear Your Majesty,
We need to talk... Your crown isn't looking very good love... Yes, I am talking to you out there! Every person has a crown. I am talking about your hair! It's up to you if your going to look like a pauper or princess!
We do not take very good care of ourselves. Think I'm wrong? What did you eat today? Did you exercise? I'm sure most of you did something to your hair today. Did you do anything to protect it? Repair it? Do you have a day 2, let's be honest maybe even a day 4 hair? Do you have the proper hair care products so you don't look like a crazy grease monster?!...No body likes that, except maybe a small child... The natural grease you scalp produces is good for your hair, but do you really wanna show it off?? I didn't think so.
I am not criticizing you. I've been pretty awful about all of those things myself. We generally don't care until we actually start having a problem with it. BUT THAT IS THE PROBLEM!!! I put that last sentence in big letters because it is such a colossal problem. We do not care until we are loosing hair or its broken or breaking beyond repair, Then we have to get that short pixie that we didn't even want because it's the only style we can have! Disclaimer: I love pixies, but as a stylist I hate having to cut them just because the hair is so damaged there is no other options.
Start now! I mean right now! Go to the salon, yes the salon, buy the pricey stuff! Most of the products on the mass retail store shelves are so bad for your hair! So bad! DON'T DO IT! Just DON'T!
Where to begin with reason... Let's start with watered down, bad chemicals, improper balance of Potential Hydrogen. Salons have standards to meet that mass retail stores simply don't. Salon products are made to be great for your hair. Mass retail is made to be sold for your hair. Which means those dirty dogs use some good ingredients and then stuff there products with water and chemical fillers.
Those fillers will feel great and lushes at first, but over time they will cause waxy build up on your hair and scalp. Also, because of those fillers it causes your hair and skin to become more acidic rather than alkaline. When your body does not have a proper PH balance it causes your body take nutrients that should be going to your hair, skin, nails, and other body parts. It takes those nutrients and tries to restore proper PH.
However, if you use quality products, along with of course consuming the nutrients you body needs. You'll have happy healthy beautiful hair!
Your hair is the crown you never take off.. Once it has been severely damaged it's a tough road back to health. Don't wait until then! Take care of your hair! Let it be beautiful, because you are royalty and deserve a beautiful crown!
P.S. Tomorrow morning I am going to try and post a hair care tutorial, along with my must have products stay tuned!
